The on target earning potential of this role is £46,000, made up of a base salary of £36,000, committed minimum tronc of £10,000, and an additional qualified estimate of £1.86 in service charge, per hour worked.
ABOUT THE JOB:
We’re looking for a Head Chef with strong leadership, creativity, and a passion for doing things properly. At Henry’s, you’ll set the tone in the kitchen — leading by example, inspiring your team, and ensuring every dish reflects care, consistency, and the best of seasonal ingredients. From developing menus to managing costs, you’ll play a key role in shaping the food experience that keeps guests coming back.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL INVOLVE:
Lead the kitchen team to create a positive, collaborative environment that promotes pride, morale, and commitment.
Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently each day and consistently delivers high standards of food preparation and service.
Uphold the company’s menu policy and ensure all dishes meet required standards of quality, presentation, and consistency.
Develop, cost, and maintain recipes for all dishes, ensuring they meet target margins and reflect seasonal produce.
Conduct regular stock takes, manage ordering, and monitor food and stock movements to achieve desired GP% and minimise waste.
Coach, mentor, and support the development of junior chefs, holding regular discussions about goals and progression.
Lead by example in maintaining exceptional food hygiene and safety standards; ensure all Health & Safety procedures and documentation are followed.
Communicate effectively across departments, attending meetings and sharing key information with the kitchen team.
Ensure all kitchen and service areas meet company standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation.
Foster a positive, collaborative team culture where everyone feels supported and motivated to deliver great service.
